What savings can I expect using solar power for my home?

With an averaged sized domestic Solar PV system you can expect savings up to €1,200 per year on your domestic electricity bill.

What SEAI grants are available for me?

As of 1st January 2025, the SEAI offers grants of up to €1,800 for Solar PV panels for your home. For commercial installations, the SEAI offer grants ranging from €2,400 to €162,600. More information here.

Am I eligible for an SEAI grant?

All homeowners, including private landlords, can qualify for the SEAI grant if your home was built and occupied before 31st December 2020, and if you have not availed of previous funding for Solar PV at this MPRN.

What agricultural grant schemes are available?

A TAMS 3 Solar Capital Investment Scheme is available. Applications can be made through your agfood account. The Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) provide grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding. The solar scheme will be ring fenced with its own investment ceiling of €90,000 and will be grant aided at the enhanced rate of 60%. More information here.
